Prof. Dr.-Ing Ulrich Schneider, I am Amirfarzad Azidhak from Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden). If you remember we had a good conversation about the Lidar mounted on XV-15 vacuum cleaner and I promise you to send you the information about that. Here are some good websites that describe how you can dismount the Lidar from vacuum cleaner and how it works: http://random-workshop.blogspot.se/ http://xv11hacking.wikispaces.com/
I also attached a zip file contain C code and python code that you can use to see the data from Lidar. The python code has a user interface that you can see what Lidar exactly see and you can run it on windows. Here you can see the python file running on windows 7: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaaLpRQGjQU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yS8wJZy3bJE
The C code needs to be run in Ubuntu or a Linux based operating system.
and finally here is the link to main website: http://www.neatorobotics.com
Hope these informations helps. If you have any further question don't hesitate to ask.
Sincerely, Amirfarzad
